HOW TO REPORT PAVEMENT PARKING |
||
|
Good Morning Residents,
We hope this WMNow message finds you well.
Please find below advice and guidance on how to report pavement parking in your area.
How to Report Pavement Parking
West Midlands Police advise different reporting routes depending on the situation:
To Local Council: Report parking on dropped kerbs, double yellow lines, or in restricted bays (like Blue Badge or taxi bays) directly to your relevant local council.
To West Midlands Police: If a vehicle is causing a physical obstruction (blocking the pavement entirely) or is parked dangerously near a junction, report it as Anti-Social Behaviour on the WMP website or call 101.
Enforcement & Future Changes;
Police Powers: Officers can issue tickets for "wilful obstruction" and, in some cases, seize vehicles that are uninsured or untaxed while they are parked illegally.
Regards.
